Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

This day shall be a memorial for you.
You shall keep it as a feast to the Lord.
You shall keep it as a feast
throughout your generations.

— Exodus 12:14

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come;
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

Invitatory

I love the Lord, for he listens to my voice,
and to my cries for mercy.
Because he has turned his ear to me,
I will call upon him for as long as I live.
What will I give to the Lord for all his benefits?
I will take the cup of salvation, and call on the name of the Lord.
I will pay my vows to the Lord,
yes, in the presence of all his people.
Precious in the Lord’s sight is the death of his saints.
O Lord, truly I am your servant.
I am your servant, the son of your servant girl.
You have freed me from my chains.
I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving,
and will call upon the name of the Lord.
I will pay my vows to the Lord,
yes, in the presence of all his people,
in the courts of the house of the Lord,
in the middle of you, O Jerusalem:
Praise be to the Lord.
— Psalm 116:1-2, 12-19†

Cruciform

You call me, ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord.’
You say so correctly, for so I am.
If, then, I have washed your feet,
so you should do the same.
For I have given you an example,
that you should do as I have done to you.
If you know these things,
then blessèd are you if you do them.

— John 13:13-15, 17†

Weeks

A new commandment I give unto you, that you should love one another.
Just as I have loved you, love also one another.
— John 13:34†

Following the seventh bead:

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit
as it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Dimissory

For I received from the Lord that which I delivered to you,
that on the night in which he was betrayed, the Lord took bread.
And when he had given thanks, he broke it saying,
“Take, eat. This is my body. It is broken for you.
Do this in remembrance of me.”
In the same way he took the cup, saying,
“This cup is the new covenant in my blood.
Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup,
you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
— 1 Corinthians 11:23-26†

Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us;
therefore, let us keep the feast.

— 1 Corinthians 5:7-8, from BCP 1979

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
